You made me laugh, I admit it. 44 to zip is not fun. But, there is always the next game. Hope springs eternal!

And just for the record, as most know, I agree with your assessment of the Boulevard. We ought to average 15K for the eye candy alone.

First I needed to blow off some steam. I simply did not see a competitve team, nor the progress I had hoped. Football games should be entertaining, i.e. fun.

Second, God Bless TCU. They have made an example that those of us can use to prove that it is not only possible, but contributes to the entire university. That school has improved accross the board, not only its student body and faculty, but alumni participation and giving. If our faculty members can't see it, perhaps they don't possess the objective minds necessary for any university.

Third, yea the kids are spoiled. But, again a football game is suppossed to be entertainment, fun. Most of my SMU friends are spoiled also, I can't beg them to get to a game..."call me back when the school is ready to have a representative product"! This is a message the administration has heard, but not enough. We have to be fully committed, whether its JUCOS, or special majors, or whatever, or this lethargy toward our school and our teams will continue to "rot" the foundation of the university. The death penalty, like Viet Nam, needs to be buried and the faculty need to understand that there on this "ship" too.

Finally, I don't want Bennett fired, we need stability. He needs to rethink some of his methods and delegation, and perhaps his assistants. I don't know. But, the kids need to be focused on the field not the bench when the play begins.
