Do you think Bennett's behavior against TT was that of a great leader? Even the best can make mistakes... I look forward to Adami playing in each game, I have met him on numerous occasions and wish that more of the players had the passion that he does. He has stuck with SMU through some rough seasons, lets stick with him!
Right you are, smuaggie (um .... about that screen name of yours ....)
You're right - Adami is one of SMU's greatest athletes, and yes, I think Bennett's behavior against Tech WAS that of a great leader. His guys had just battled their hearts out against a more talented team and performed admirably, and he let them know they weren't in this alone. What he did was the best thing he could have done. Not only that, I would have questioned his leadership had he NOT confronted Leach. Adami plays with the same passion his brother did, and has more love for SMU than a lot of folks. He's played through many obstacles (being too small for his positions, countless injuries, etc.) and he hasn't complained and he's NEVER quit. We certainly can't quit on him.
Personally, I'd like to see him join his brother on the coaching staff when his playing days are over. The Adamis are a rare family and have done an enormous amount for SMU.
