Today's picture of Laura Cross (also wholesome looking) is a winner. If she keeps her golf game up, she could be a star in the LPGA. Back to must win games, yes this is a must win game because after 15 straight losses we need to show that we can beat a team that is beatable. We lost four games last year by a field goal. We need to break the jinx. That said, it will be a tough game to win. SJS beat us last year and is just as big as they were last year.

The thing that worries me about SJSU, more than the size of their lines, is their speed. They always seem to be pretty fast. They never seem to be an overly well-coached team, and there are a lot of things that they don't do that separate them from better teams, but they always seem to have a slew of great athletes, so if you make mistakes, they can really make you pay. I won't call this a must-win, but it's pretty close.
Yes, Saturday is a must min. I'm sorry to say, but we will lose at Boise and the way Rice is playing, we might even lose in Houston. We cannot have an 0-6 start to the season. No fans will be there for LA Tech. Losing to San Jose will result in another rough season. Even if we win games late, nobody will care if we start out with 4 straight losses. We need an early-season home victory so badly, and this is our best opportunity. A win at home on Parent's Weekend will give new life to the program. This game will make or brake our season, and Phil Bennet's career at SMU. There are no excuses for losing this game. SMU has played three of the best football teams in our region, and now its time for us to play a team on our level. Hopefully Blake Warren will get as many balls thrown to him as possible. That guy is fearless. Go Mustangs!
It's really hard to get all foamy-at-the-mouth about a game with San Jose State. I remember when a must win game meant we were playing the Texas Longhorns! Without commenting on what brought us to this rather dismal state of affairs, a win againsr SJSU will mean only one thing--a one-ten season instead of zero -11. Big deal! Unless the team can show marked improvement over it's first three game, I think we have only two options--give up football or fire Bennett--or maybe both!

I expect Rice to have a very good season this year and it would take a miracle for us to beat them this season.
I do recall a game in houston lost by a late missed FG. At least we seem to be making those now. Go Ponies!!
Beat whoever it is we are playing!! @PonyGrad
Lose Saturday and it is a down hill slideLose Saturday, then we are going to be 0-7 without a doubt. At some point, Army is going to win a game before we do - then look out bottom 10, we'll be number 117. Maybe we are anyway.

Paige Davis, I attended Meadows with Lauren Graham. Lauren Graham was a friend of mine. You, Paige Davis, are no Lauren Graham.
(Come to think of it, Paige was there too...JT, you ole buzzard, I think you stole my pictures!) And yes, let's be honest, we must win this game. If we don't everybody is gonna freak out about us going 0-12, and I really don't want to hear that, so we better win. And we will win! LET THE SUN SHINE!!!
