The NCAA also weighed in on the Mustang Band appearing at some event in the '70s, then UT went instead without asking the NCAA if it was alright. No penalties at all. I agree there are two sets of rules those for SMU and those for the Longhorns. Always has been that way, too. It could be worse, we could have been featured on Necessary Roughness.

He may be a little too "stiff" for cheerleading.

BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

You didn't catch when this thread was originally posted, did you. Looks like an old thread that was bumped by some spammer

I agree that the weak link in the program seems to be a lack of effort or interest in trying to market our improved football program on a personal level. We are going to have to do a better job seeking area fans beyond SMU. We need a marketing plan to develope the area and I'm not talking about just having a good TV ad. We seriously need marketing leadership and we need to take advantage of the present football situation. Coaches are getting their part done and SMU alumni are generous, but it is time to go to work and get this done.
