they took the knee instead of kicking for a very good reason. If the extra point was blocked, it could be returned for a touchdown. then all our hard work would be for nothing and we wouldn't be on here talking about how great the game was.

actually returned for a two-point conversion, but we still would have lost the game by 1 point.

Actually, a blocked extra point attempt returned by the defending team is considered a safety. We would have then lost by one point instead of winning by one point. I was screaming at my radio to take a knee and not attempt a kick. Glad Bennett was on top of that one.

The score of the ECU game will depend on whether we score 24 points. I can't believe we are 7-1 when scoring 24, with the only defeat coming against UTEP last year (I looked it up). That statistic really shows where our program is lacking. If you can't score 24 points on a consistent basis, you will lose lots of games. That being said, we will be 8-1 when scoring over 24 points by Saturday night.

Yes, I must give Bennett game day coaching props on that decision. Rotely (if that is a word) kicking the XP would have given UAB a chance to mess up the win. :D

In any event, I wouldn't call it a missed extra point - it's a failed two-point conversion.

Bennett made the right decision on the last play of the game. Knowing when to take a knee is of prime importance in the coaching biz. Ask the prior Baylor coach.

CBS sportsline's 2 predictors each have us winning by one point. I guess that makes it official.

We are now favored by 2. I was wondering how we were going to score 1.5.
