Can't wait for Rice Game!!

After the game, we will be discussing:

1) Who will be the next SMU football coach; or

2) Is 3 wins enough for Bennett to keep his job.

We have only lost one blow out this year and that was to A&M. We have played every other game close. A big improvement from years' past. I expect SMU to win big against Rice. If SMU doesn't win, then it is going to get ugly around here.

So you're suggesting the flavor on this board hasn't gotten ugly already? Disagreement is fine, but there are countless posters on here who make things personal .... against players, coaches, administrators, players' families. And let me be the first to admit a couple of losses have induced me to make a couple such posts, and for that I apologize. I don't know what the future holds -- with athletic staff, with current players or with recruiting. To those I called out unfairly, I really do apologize.

Win or lose, let's try to get this forum back to being supportive -- I'm not saying to bury our heads in the sand, but the personal attacks have got to stop, folks.

i would call a 31-10 loss to a weak Tulane team a blow out.

Mike Price took a team, UTEP, that had had 3 consecutive 2-win seasons to a an 8-4 record and a bowl game his FIRST YEAR on the job.

The Miners were also nationally ranked for the FIRST TIME EVER that year.

It happens, and it happens QUICK, if things are working.

In case anybody forgot, SMU has had one winning season (barely) in the last 17years.
