Saturday was good demonstration of why the future for UTEP is brighter in CUSA. It looked like we had a bunch of recruits there Saturday some of which I'm sure are looking at UTEP. Plus I'm sure some UTEP recruits not visiting SMU were in attendance. The UTEP crowd was quite impressive and if I were a recruit considering both school I would have taken note of the relatively small SMU crowd and the good UTEP crowd. For the first time UTEP is not all alone in a different conference from the rest of Texas. It gives them a great shot at improving their recruiting presense in Houston and Dallas. BTW it also dispelled the TCU claim that the MWC schools would outdraw the CUSA teams in Texas.

Give me a break, guys & gals. The same old "Barbara Ann" stuff is grossing me out. What;s wrong with the Mustang Band building a little more variety of repertoire(sp?). I love 'em and all, but sorry, I have to give the band nod to UTEP, no matter which direction they were facing. There could & should have been a few SMU fans on the other side, too, remember?

The UTEP crowd has always been pretty good here. They deserve credit for ticket sales here & helping fill the stadium. And, as I remember, they usually bring a full complement of cheerleaders & band. I, for one, enjoy them.

I too enjoyed the UTEP band, cheerleaders and good crowd. It added excitment to the game. I was a little perplexed by the Golddiggers. Should not their name be 96 gals and a guy?

I really enjoyed the UTEP crowd. They were loud and enthusiastic. Not many left until it was over by my seats. Everyone was very friendly. They were ready to lynch Jordan Palmer and were screaming for the Billy Kilmer knockoff Cruz. I was impressed with the band etc..

When one is trying to run out the clock why was Romo hiking the ball with .15 seconds left on the play clock?????????????
