I think for a lot of people....myself included (regardless of how much of a fight the wife would put up about going to Detriot in December), the first bowl game that SMU would go to would be top priority and a must see no matter where it is. (although if it were to happen, and we weren't in the liberty bowl, I would almost prefer to go to Hawaii just for the trip, for my family that might be an easier sell, especially if I make it an extended trip)
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney? Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.
The only place I don't think I could make is going to Hawaii. Unless there was fan package plane thingy that we could go on.
I know they did something like that for the Nevada game back in 2003 or something like that. Hawaii is just so far away.
I doubt SMU would truly have to worry about fans if a bowl game was seriously a possibility. The metroplex is too big a place not to have between 20,000 and 30,000 fans at a game if there is really a definite possibility for a bowl. I guarantee you that if there had been a bowl berth at stake in the SMU/UTEP game, that there would have been 20,000 SMU fans there.
Its simple, SMU and TCU, when winning, or at least after being competitive for several years, are going to have a core fanbase of 20,000 to 25,000 at every game, regardless. How much you win will determine how many additional people show up.
