Have you arranged for LSU to can Coach Miles and/or Nebraska to get rid of Coach Callahan? Seems like you're getting ahead of yourself.

Unfortunately, after SMU gets a bowl bid there's no way we'll be able to keep Bennett from a SEC or Big-12 gig. I can easily seeing a place like LSU or maybe Nebraska going after him.

Reminds me of the poster on this board that said he did not want a top rated HS BB star because he would probably leave early for the pros. I dream to have those types of problems.

True. Callahan probably saved his job with the Colorado whipping.

However, I can see a big 12 team like Oklahoma State making a run at Phil - of course I don't know if OSU can compete salary-wise with SMU.

The thing to worry about is when A&M fires Franchione after next season which is almost guaranteed now that he is showing himself to be a fraud. I'm not sure SMU can compete financially with the offer A&M will make Bennett after SMU goes to a bowl next season.

Don't we have a much easier schedule in 2006?

I heard we added some teams that would give us a greater chance for an additional "W" or two.

Does anyone have a confirmed 2006 SMU Football schedule they can post?
