Listen, Jackson may be old and perhaps senile...but every time I hear his voice, one thing pops into my head....a UT game as it were, where UT is on defense...and Jackson saying "...a look-what-I-found-touchdown for s...m...U!," ca. 1981.

Then I remember that was twenty four friggin years ago, and I get depressed.

As long as he works a "whoa nelly" in there, its like going home.

Absolutely.
When he throws in a "Whoa, Nellie" we can all be assured that it's football season once again.
I think he's my favorite of all time (for college football, anyway).

It's not Keith Jackson that "stinks"... it's somebody's genius decision to keep that has-been on the payroll.

I bet not a single one of you would complain, though, if Keith Jackson were to show up at Ford Stadium to broadcast an SMU football game!

I wouldn't complain because I would be in the stands, but anyone who actually listened to him Wednesday night has to admit it was not one of his stellar hall-of-fame performances.

Like I said, he makes the game entertaining. He can get away with saying "lot of loose laundry littering the lawn". Which means there's several flags on the play. Great stuff.
