I would say Lobo ahead of Lankford at backup right guard. I look forward to the day that no lineman even gets on the field until he is a redshirt sophomore (third year at SMU) at the very earliest.

Where would you put Griffin? Does he fit ahead of Handy? I don't think so -- Handy did a very good job in a limited role last year. Therien's a senior in the fall, and I thought he was OK, if not spectacular, in a reserve role last season. There was talk last year that Handy looked so good in practice that he nearly jumped ahead of Muse in the starting lineup (which reportedly jump-started Muse's performance toward the end of the season).

I don't know if Chase will eat his way into an OL. I saw him at the Senior Awards Extravaganza. Someone said he's in the 265/270 range, and he looked almost thin, if that's possible. I'd say if the coaches wanted him to, he could slap on another 30-40 or more pounds with ease. Then he just needs to grow out his hair to become Robert Gallery (who arrived at Iowa as a tight end).

Is Bryan Turner still on the team? I know that he was sick last season.

I believe Turner is done.

Handy played DT last year. Griffin was a back up DE.

Turner is still on the roster and started several games as a F and SO.
