Private college attendance

Postby Boston Pony » Fri Feb 10, 2006 6:05 am

Outside of Notre Dame, private college attendance (at football) is seldom good. BC does okay with their recent winning ways (you could walk into games with attendance of around 30k as late as 2000). USC now has great attendance with no pro competition it's the place to be seen. Syracuse fills their dome, but again it's the center of upstate NY. SMU has seldom filled stadiums in pro football era. Like most DI programs we run a deficit budget (so does TCU) so we should focus on winning and not filling the stadium, it will take care of itself.

BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

It was a charicature of a statue/monument thing that was built on campus, detailing some of the faults in Blackistone's article .... at the end, it said something like "when SMU gets to a bowl game, Kevin Blackistone is invited to eat this statue" or something.

OK, I didn't do it justice, but that's the gist. It was pretty damn funny.

man that got me mad hearing that.

Maybe they were mad because we had just beat the everliving [deleted] out of UTEP.
Maybe it was because they had to leave Dallas and go home to that hole known as El Paso.
