Sure, he'll watch the games, and he undoubtedly will talk to the coaches about their players every now and then. But with all of the challenges that await him, there's no way he walks into Dallas and starts trying to strong-arm coaches into playing one player over another. He's got other tasks higher on his to-do list.

It is good, but he's not a student -- he's an alum. He writes for some newspaper, I think. (Didn't he write something for PonyFans.com?)

I think it's Willis' job to lose. I have followed him since he was a Jr. in high school and the kid is a winner. In his senior year his teams only 2 losses were to Southlake U, and Denton Ryan should have beat Southlake in the state playoffs but Willis was playing on one leg and his head coach was more worried about the margin of defeat than winning the game.
