xbox 360 comments after 1 half of play:

-I saw a #7 as a QB - 3rd string.
-Willis has good speed in the game. Very easy to get around the end with him and perfect for our spread offense.
-DeMyron has the 92 speed and decent moves though I tried to truck three players and got put on my butt each time.
-Bobby Chase is a big target with soft hands and seemed to be losing Tech's DBs alot.
-Rodgers is indeed fast on the rush though found even better to bring Sturdivant on the blitz. It either opens him up for the sack or pushes the QB into Rodgers.

Three other comments:
1) Simmed the entire 2006 season to see what happens - SMU went 3-9 and was asked to leave the CUSA. We were replaced by Navy of all people.
2) Sturdivant had 2 picks in the 1st half and I am current up 28-0 going into half (which will be played much later tonight).
3) Damon Hurst covered a kick for me and using hit stick, laid out Tech's #1 returner, stripping the ball and injuring the guy.

Also played vs Tech and was up 21-0 at half. Columbus Givens scored on a 63 yard Playaction Pass - Post route. SMU is MUCH better in this game than the '06 version.

BTW.. The uniforms are exact.. including the silver lining around the Pony on the helmet.. it's been missing on the game for awhile

PS2 Cover

Does anyone have the "photoshop skills" to make an SMU cover? I found a website that had pretty much everybody except for us. They even had North Texas.

Thanks

Yea, it's pretty much etiquette to warn NSFW (not safe for work).

I feel that the game plays much better this year. I like the new kicking and the close up action. Otherwise, in my limited playing of the game, it seems that there are a lot more fumbles. DeMyron coughed up four against Tech.

Just out of curiosity since I am too old to get into this stuff. Do you guys realize this is just a game and does not count in the real standings?

Of course...but where else are we going to see SMU win three national championships or one for that matter?

You old guys would actually love this..

Every stadium in Division 1A is almost exact. Fight songs played when they score. Hundreds of customized playbooks to run whatever defense or offense you choose. Is it a waste of time? Yes.. bigtime. But when you've got some down time or the wife/kids aren't around.. it's great entertainment.
