Hold on, jt...I'll say it for you..."SMU has not done what it should have done over the past 20 years as a Div. 1-A school to warrant a mention from the DMN."

How was that? ;)

Well I guess that the DMN could say they cover SMU warts and all. It is the "and all" part we wonder about.

Then I'll say it-SMU by deemphasizing Football in the late 1980's and playing under an uncompetitive Model has been perhaps the biggest unperforming program in the Country and does not deserve to be covered like a Big Time Football program. SMU deserves about the amount of publicity it gets because SMU made itself largely irrelevant to the City of Dallas Sports Fan and even its own alumni. Is Columbia covered by the New York Times? If you are complaining about the lack of SMU visibility and low profile you are about 18 years to late to make a difference

So tell us again why you go to games and spend 24 hours a day on this site? If the program is so irrelevant, as it appears to be in your world, why do you claim to care? And if you do care, how will you get involved to help fix the problems you so willingly point out? If you don't want to give money, that's your choice, of course, but will you donate time? Effort? Meet with athletic officials to express your views, other than on a fan website? How do you propose to help?

Then why the h*ll does the Dallas Morning News have its banner plastered at the FRIGGIN' TOP of the scoreboard in Ford Stadium? If SMU is - in your words - 'irrelevant' then why does the DMN spend its advertising $$$ there? Sounds like bad business to me...oh, wait...they're laying off employees down at the Bevo Corporation, aren't they?
