Great! UT pub on ponyfans site. Gotta draw the line somewhere, guys.
They've got pub oozing up from the earth and raining from the skies as it is. Enough!
(I hear it really sucks, by the way. Really p*ss poor. Pass it on.)

Fact or fiction?
The University of Texas tower was designed by a Rice University graduate/architect. Everything went well with its design and construction. When it was unveiled, everyone praised it. Then they turned on the lights for its first nighttime viewing. The Rice architect had cleverly designed the base of the tower to throw the shadow an owl on all four corners of the tower whenever it was lit up.

Fiction. It was designed by Paul Cret.
Cret (1876-1945) had studied at the most prestigious architecture school in the world at the time, the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris.

UT Architecture grad, an SMU law grad and a Baylor grad were facing the guillotine. The SMU grad proclaimed his innocence with stirred oratory and the blade stopped short of his neck and he went free. The Baylor grad, called on God and proclaimed his innocence and again the blade stuck and he went free. The UT architecture grad said as they were leading him up to the block, "that board is not plumb if you straighten it out, that blade will work just fine."

Since it's pretty shameless, if anyone needs any remodeling work, commercial or residential, let me know.
