i have several friends who are from the awful state of mississip... the reason it is so easy to get in there is because their state education system is god awful.. anyone who can afford to go to private school goes to a private school..

i actually hear ole miss is hard once you get there.. maybe b/c i hear that from all the slapsticks who couldn't even get into tech and party 100% more than they study.. probably the case

The "We're not snobs" shirt was available at the Bookstore on Mockingbird when I was there 2 weeks ago. Some girl and her boyfriend were walking buy and she comments"Right, SMU students aren't snobs!". Couldn't help but answer "No, we are just better than you."

Ole Miss has the t-shirts b/c the money that is at Ole Miss, not the academics, which is, I assume, the main reason SMU students buy the shirt. Ole Miss may be IN Mississippi, but you would never know it. The student body has a rep for being overwhelmingly affluent - the elite of the South. Oh, and I found Ole Miss challenging, but I was in the Honors College and had a difficult major. Its like most schools, some of the degree programs are extremely challenging and well-respected, like pharmacy, accounting, and international studies - and others not-so-much.

I'd just like to see some funny game day t-shirts w/ drawings of the mascots...you know, something w/ Peruna beatin' up on an Eagle or whoever it is we are playing that week. Lots of color - traditional gameday t-shirts w/ cartoonish drawings on the back, and the basic info. on the front "SMU v. UNT 2006 - Eagle, its whats for dinner" or something like that.

Ole Miss = One Eyed King of a Blind Country.....I know a TON of Ole Missers, I would not classify them as affluent.....and, YES, when I'm down there, I certainly do realize I'm in Mississippi...

That's a great slogan!

I also like this

Front: July 20, 1969: The Eagle Landed. September 9, 2006: The Eagles...
