When you consider that this guy is still a redshirt freshman, this really is a remarkable accomplishment. It's hard to believe we have three more seasons with him, Givens, Willis and the rest of the youngsters in the passing game.
CONGRATULATIONS, EMMANUEL!

looking back at the recruiting year Sanders was recruited, he was our lowest ranked recruit, along with Adrian Dizer (a 4.9) It just goes to show Rivals doesnt know everything. Sanders is gonna be a star at this school and hold just a few receiving records before he's done

Sanders is a terrific athlete with great potential. He is definately showing the coaching staff that be just might be the #1 receiver over guys like Chase and Givens.

He might be making a case for all CUSA. I know he does not have the yards, but TDs speak loudly.

Having both Sanders and Willis together as Freshmen should wreck a lot of school records!

Hell of a game so far today though: 6 for 70 yards and 2 TD.

In the Houston game, WR/KOR-Emmanuel Sanders had 2 TD catches, his second multi-TD game, and now has 9 on the season, which is the second-most by an SMU player in a season (record is 11 by Emanuel Tolbert in 1978; he passed 8 by Jerry LeVias in 1968)

His 151 receiving yards made him the first SMU player over 150 yards since Albert Johnson had 162 against Tulane in 1998; His nine catches were a career high and the most by an SMU player this season
He has 593 receiving yards on the season, which is the 15th-most at SMU (passed Brian Berry - 554 in 1992; Ron Morris - 554 in 1984; Jason Wolf - 565 in 1991; Chris Cunningham - 570 in 1999; John Hampton - 572 in 2000; Mike Richardson - 581 in 1968; Ken Fleming - 588 in 1968)
His 234 all-purpose yards (83 KOR, 151 Rec) was the most since ShanDerrick Charles had 244 (243 run, 1 rec) at San Jose State in 2001

You posted on here and I almost died from a heart attack. I wasn't paying attention to the dates and I thought it was brought up that Willis was transferring. That was my face just a second ago. But, I would hope that if anyone was out for the season Kate would have included that in the story she wrote about yesterday's game.
