17,000 tops.. student turnout should be high again, so it's really up to the locals and out of town alumni to show up.

turn out should go up...expect at least the same number of students if not more (its an afternoon game so they can drink afterwards) plus its homecoming

people will come back, they always do...plus SMU is 4-0 at Ford this year

plus this game could make the 'stangs bowl eligible, plus if Houston beats Tulsa and we can beat Houston a C-USA Championship game becomes a possibility once again...

its a big game...people should come

Let's make it interesting and estimate the first half versus 2nd half attendance. I say 17,536 1st half, 3 2nd half. (me, my row mate Bill and jt 's daughter).

Another good opportunity for the new AD and his minions to push this game. Give away free tickets, sell really cheap tickets, and give away a new Ford Mustang. Every ticket has a chance to win so you have to stick around until the end of the 3rd quarter to find out if you won. You then have an hour to claim your prize. Give out free popcorn. Just do something besides sitting on your arse and make a belated attempt to push the game which has been par for the course this season.

Over. Well over.

22K

Student attendance has gone up every game. Orsini sent an email to all students and had a letter in the DC thanking people. Excitement is HIGH for a possible bowl.

Add HC crowd, and a good cheering section coming up from Houston then all thats left is to actually sell some tickets. Its a day game. I think it gets done no problem.

I sent out a press release telling the east coast media outlets that I would be attending the game. So that should push attendance to about 28k.

I've heard that UofH does not travel well. I predict they'll bring 2,000, at the most. For some reason, people who live in Houston think traveling up Interstate 45 to Dallas is like traveling to the far ends of the Earth. It's just downright odd.

It's pretty bad this year that other than what Tulsa will bring, the most out of towners visting Ford will be Sam Houston. I know it's a function of this year's schedule.

Do you think if we told Sam that his brother University is in town that they might come to the game?
