That's a typical winter day forecast for steamy, tropical Houston. Lived there from 1988 - 2004. Hardly ever had to wear a winter coat. :roll:

Another tidbit about Rice Stadium: The Stadium has also held major concerts. Huge crowds were part of the excitement for the Pink Floyd, Eagles, Elton John\Billy Joel, and George Strait concerts in recent years.

Now think about this: Rice Stadium is also in a residential area of Houston (West University), much like Ford Stadium is in Dallas (University Park). Both residential areas are similar in demographics.

Question: should SMU allow concerts to be held in Ford Stadium like Rice University allows to be held in Rice Stadium?

The Jumbotron still stands bare. It will be finished out with brick, but not until after the season is over. (They rolled the crane assembling the jumbotron out of the stadium about 2 hours before the Houston game Sept. 2).

The big differences are the jumbotron and the men's rooms. My wife says there's nothing special about the ladies' rooms, but then they were never peeing on the wall while looking another person in the eye across that very short wall.

Also the large concrete step areas past the goal lines that make for a good place to set up a blanket or ground-level camp chairs.
