The only thind Burns could have done is played himself? Some of you need to stop posting on this site with the crap you are posting.

Sorry, bigmomma, but on 1st down & 1 FOOT, I don't care what level the game is-- you line up under the center & put em to sleep. Give it to #8 three times in a row- you can't defend 1 foot three times in a row.

Instead, we try to pass.

Then, we lineup in the spread where every Mofo in Houston can see the handoff & now #8 has to run 5 yds to get BACK to the line of scrimmage.

Another time, we line up under center & fake up the middle to run a bootleg!

Play calling has been suspect all year long. You don't get away with laying this on the O-Line when we never tried to blast up the middle on the 1 with our strongest RB!

Why in the hell on 4th and 1 don't we have a two TE, power back set with the QB under center and make a darn yard in four downs. Twice we don't convert, 8 points lost and we get beat.............Dillard is a great talent for Rice and the rest of the their team is very well coached.

You can't handle the truth!! So why do you think we did not just blast it up the middle? Are you the only smart one online tonight. Burns knows what he is working with. The red zone is tough. I tell you what, submit your resume for OC, you are the man for the job. Ever here of X left, 58 cross right, under left 43 zoom, 29 dump?

Spare us your football acumen. I guess we can all start throwing out play calls and make ourselves look intelligent.

Plenty of people intimately familiar with the game have questioned Burns play calling and no, I'm not referring to journalists. Defend him if you will but don't call other idiots for disagreeing with how he runs this thing or your opinions. A football genius you are not...

this is the number 1 complaint I got out of this game, and the reason to me we're not bowling...

when it's 1st and goal at the 1 twice and you don't score a touchdown either time, it comes down to playcalling.

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY even think of the pistol formation when you're at the 1 yard line???? Why would you want to distance yourself from the goal line? We're at the 1 and our running back lines up at the 7. Does this make any sense??? If you run just 1 QB sneak you get in. What a pathetic joke. I remember how often we were in the pistol at the goalline, but even one time is too many

That's what I was saying! I have to believe our O-line had one big push in them to allow J-Dub to sneak it in. D. Martin was gassed after his 50-yarder. He should've been on the bench getting oxygen while Mapps was in there.

The second time on 1st & 1, you gotta give D. Martin the ball and let him go up and over or run someone over. He's a big guy and I know he was calling for ball. He played his butt off Saturday for 60 minutes.
