You people are idiots. You think the golden boy from Cali is coming to Texas to wear some boots and a 10 gallon hat? Come on folks, this thread is getting stupid with some stupid ideas. Have any of you been around college football very long. Orsini was a mistake!! When he makes a change it will be a disaster for the entire propgram!! We will start all over again?? 0-12, 2-10, 4-8 maybe, so on and so on, and this chat site will be the biggest think in SMU football history, other than J-Wills 26 TD as a red-shirt freshman, wow!!!

Hey dumb@ss, did you go to school and/or live here? Do you wear cowboy boots and a 10-gallon hat? Check the bios of beach-lovers like Jimmy Johnson and Don Nelson. Dallas isn't the 80s TV show. Jog through Highland Park and let me know how many cows you spot.

Doherty alone was enough to justify Orsini's hire. Trust in the Big O.

BigDaddy, so far I see nothing at all to suggest that Orsini was anything less than a superb hire. Trying to decide whether to keep a 5 year coach that can only reach .500, with one win over a D-II school, doesn't seem to be out of line. Far from it.

My guess is that bigmomma is tied to the Copeland administration.

Until Orsini arrived at the hilltop, he was never heard of, except for his ticket manager job for the cowboys? The further we go with changes, the deeper we dig down into the depths. We must stablize this football program with what we have in PB and ride it out with some good recruits, we will only get good recruits, and work our butts off as a team and win some games. We have everthing we need in facilities, obviously devoted fans, by the comments some of you are making. It sounds like you care deeply. Everytime something does not go your way in your marriage or job do you make changes so drastic as quitting or divorce. You would start over every other year?

Neuheisel will have a tough time recruiting here. I dont think the HS coaches will cotton to his attitude. I have heard him before. He is a complete jerk.

If Orsini fires Bennett I hope he looks at Gary Barnett. He got players from TX to come to Boulder. He also had massive success at Northwestern, a school that is tougher to get into than SMU and has to go up against brutal competion day-in-day out.

One thing for sure is a Barnett coached team would not walk away from two 3rd and 1s on the goal line with field goals. I'll always remember Kris Brown, Darnell Autry, the power I etc.....

BigDaddy,
You need to get your facts straight. You have been ranting about Steve O but nothing is ever correct. Here is the bio on the guy http://www.smu.edu/leadership/orsini.asp. Also, have you not paid any attention to the talent that he has brought in for Marketing and Basketball. The guy is good at what he does and does not deserve the ridiculous, inaccurate comments that you keep making.

There are a few rules that most of us on Ponyfans.com like to follow. No personal attacks and if you are making an argument for or against something, please make sure that you have your facts straight. Right now, you have been so wrong about your info on Orsini that nobody can take your posts seriously. Spend a little extra effort and you will be pleasantly surprised by the responses you get.

Ramon Flanagin is the man for the job!!!!!!!!!!! He is so good at Playstation's "Gamebreaker 2006". If he is not still on the team lets hire him as head coach!
