He is down and out right now. Injured his back over the holidays, and is laid up without his computer and on pain meds.

But I will be sure and buzz him to let him know the results. He is probably more interested in the fact that Hussein got the rope than he is Texas Tech and NCAA bowl history.
Tell him to get well soon. Seriously.

Of the top four bowl comebacks, Minnesota has been apart of 2 now...both on the losing side.

And the 2001 GMAC bowl was a 30 point comeback thriller between 2 now CUSA foes...glad I was able to catch that game that year and to see this tech comeback this year.

Great game. Both teams left it all out on the field.

I'm up late and I am watching the replay of the game because I missed that particular play but from what I just saw, they did put the ball back on the 20 for the Gophers.

In 2000 Minnesota gave up a 24 point lead and lost to NC State in the Micronpc.com Bowl.

UofMinnesota head football coach Glen Mason has been dismissed, effective immediately, according to UofM AD Joel Maturi.

Mason was 123-121 since taking the head coaching job with the Golden Gophers on Dec. 14, 1997. UofM went 6-7 this season. The Golden Gophers appeared in 7 bowl games in Mason's ten seasons. His best year was 2003 with a 10-3 record and a Sun Bowl victory over Oregon, 31-30.

Not a bad call. Im sure the AD was pissed that Bielma was able to get it done in one year and Joe Pa is still finding ways to win too.
