Vic is not going to get anyone hurt. I talked to a few of the players and they are working on speed and conditioning right now. Doing a lot of drill training to lean them out. This summer they will start to put the strength and pounds back on. A little different then what we used to do.

P.S. You guys have way too many [deleted] contest. Keep it to football.

Go Stangs.

hey 35straight, what are some of the players saying about Vic and his program? What are some of the differences than when you were here? Would you tell GlueHorse to give me a call?

According to Phil Bennet, Valoria was JaMarcus Russell's personal favorite. Russell came into LSU a little pudgy and Valoria got him into shape. Rumor has it that Russell wanted to take Valoria to the NFL to be his personal trainer, but he chose SMU instead. Pretty cool if that's true.

Well, we'd hate for our players to have a competent guy that brings out the best in them. Who would they have to blame fo another mediocre year?

Regarding the comments that he doesn't know what he's doing and only knows his own limits, well, those limits seemed to work for him pretty well during his time here. I don't ever recall hearing about the downside about a FOOTBALL team that was too strong or too tough.

Accolades from Russell are good enough for me. We could do worse than having coach that has had a hand in sustaining a winning tradition like LSU football.

Welcome back, Vic!

Now all SMU needs to do is find a Top 5 Nationally Recruited QB for Vic to work his "magic" on.
