It is definitely for real. Not the quitting, at least not right now, but when all of the Malzahn, Mustain, etc. stuff was going on, someone requested through FOI Nutt's cell phone records from the phone the University provides him. Several calls were made to Bragg. Calls were made to the lady that sent Mustain a nasty email. Calls were made to Universities that were shopping for a coach. There is a lot of things revolving around Nutt that many here do not like. Many here thought that Nutt had met no greater standards than Heath and if Heath was to be fired so should Nutt. It is a true soap opera and is really fun to witness. I just hope for the sake of Nutt's wife, children, and mother that the affair rumor is not true. Time is going to tell.

Judge, if I am not mistaken, Nutt's raise was based on incentives achieved and prewritten "kickins". It is something that had been in "calculation" for a long time and was just recently announced. The Board of Trustees met yesterday with the Chancellor and said they wanted to address many issues of concern. Supposedly those areas were the handling of Heath, the in and out of Altman, the drug use of the BB players, the lack of academic control over the athletes, AND the Nutt Bragg rumors. Apparently someone close to the inside but not all the way in, ASSUMED that Nutt was the primary target and he would be forced to resign. At this point the word from the BOT is that they are satisfied with the responses given.

A law firm in Little Rock has responded to the accusations made by someone (I am not sure who this individual is) and has acused him of approaching slander and refuting the allegations made against Nutt.

I doubt that anything will come of this. After all, can you see the dirt that Nutt could probably give his undercover reporter, not that she really is or anything?

Of course, the defense to slander is the truth so Arkansas has to find a way to settle this matter without this going to Court or Nutt is going to have to appear and respond to discovery and testify under oath concerning some very unseemly issues. For example, I forgot the number but we are going to be treated to testimony as to why Houston Nutt text messaged Ms. bragg 146 times between 12-2:00 a.m. on a particular nite. Also there are about 4 issues that may show that Houston Nutt has been shown to be a untruthful concerning several issue like the Gus Mazalan situation. Remember the transfer QBs outraged family members? They may have had some justification concerning their outrage with Arkansas officials. And then will this spill over into recruiting..,..? Oh boy oh boy. Court TV should be all over this.
