I'm very proud of Justin Rogers for getting drafted and of Adrian Haywood and Bobby Chase for getting to Tennessee and Montreal, respectively .... but I'd prefer a lifetime of no pro players to start booking some flights to bowl games.
I don't think this A&M team would hang 60 on any 1A team. It isn't built that way. This A&M team is built to run the ball and ground out the clock. Their problem is they couldn't stop big plays on D, which is why they lost to Tech and Cal last season despite owning the time of possession. Don't get me wrong, I think they would beat SMU, just wouldn't hang 60.
They lost to TT on a last second miracle play. I was there to see it. J-Train would demolish the SMU D. A&M could name their number against SMU. I am an SMU fan first and foremost but I have to call it as I see it. A&M would run up and down the field on SMU especially with the loss of Haywood and Rodgers.
SMU>TEXAS A&MNacho: I totally agree with Mr. Pony. When We have individual players go Pro, It is always beneficial for the program and the School. SMU needs all the good publicity we can get.
You would be surprise how many people do not know who SMU is. When Bobby Chase made that "Hail Mary" catch at UAB. I received dozen of phone calls from West Coast to East Coast ,and New York. That they had seen on ESPEN the play and how exciting it was. One question was Who, Where is SMU? With national TV coverage we get, players going Pro, will bring better players to the program. Fans will come.
SMU>TEXAS A&MNacho, I understand where your coming from. Your looking at the past and I am looking at the future. Going to a Bowl and Winning a Bowl are 2 different things. I do believe that we can win a Bowl within these 2 years coming up. I hope we get a dozen Players going Pro.
Nah, they still have it and it's still awesome. PHIL1301 with Ehring. Good guy.
Sir, shooting-star, sir.
