edit: I will be in Belize. Take notes for me and tell Bennett he promised me last year we would beat UNT.

[quote="PK"]Brief summary (I told you I'm no journalist). The coaches each talked for about 10 minute and covered a lot of things including information about selected players...most of which I can not remember because I did not have anything to write with or on (so shoot me).

For WaterPony, the new natatorium is scheduled to be under construction in summer 08. quote]

PK, thanks for taking the time. You exceeded mine and your own expectations. And, Orsini sounds like he is on mission.

As for new Natatorium, it still is not a done deal. More than half of $15-16M has been pledged (pretty impressive for a non-revenue sport), but a lead gift remains to be made. The timing is now critical to break ground, this time next year.

A hope this does not become another missed opportunity. This step, along with renovating Moody, are the most important, remaining athletic facility investments to be made.

Personal checks will be accepted.

Why wouldn't he? It gets people over to his site...and I suspect he could use a little traffic over there.

Belize... boy, that's rough. I will take copious notes, but I won't let you have them until after the final. That's just how I roll. And I'll try to remeber to remind Phil B about his promise last year. But if he is anything like me, he has completely forgotten that game. I mean I've just blocked it out.... oh crap, here it comes again. No! [sigh] Thanks smupony94. Thanks a lot.

And AusTxPony... looking forward to seeing you too.

So I searched for Bella Costa Lake Travis... and found nothing with the words in that order except the link for the SMU Coaches Tour. Otherwise I found Costa Bella... a gated community with a clubhouse. I assume that it's at the same place as it was last year. (I understand it was at a clubhouse at a gated community... probably wouldn't let me at my rat trap car drive in anyhow.)

Can anyone confirm that location is actually Costa Bella Clubhouse?

(Or perhaps, Bella Costa Clubhouse is like an old speak easy... all Eyes Wide Shut needing the password... Fidelio.)

It is the gated community. pending where you are coming from you can go 2222 to 620 and go towards Lakeway. Once you get to the city limits and look to your right - it might be a couple of miles in. It is a strange road for a subdivision with $3 million homes.

The directions on the invitation say:

Near Lakeway - take FM 620 towards Lake Travis, then turn right onto Oak Grove Blvd. The gate code is GOSMU. Go through the gate and turn right on Costa Bella Drive. Turn left on Bella Vista and you will see the clubhouse.

Are you sure? There are 120 or so schools playing in I-AA that aren't losing Division I status in other sports and another 90 that don't play any football.

That is what I heard Orsini say. Did he miss speak?...don't know. As I heard it, it was refered to as a recent change in the NCAA rules. I will try to check that out and get back. Maybe I misunderstood him, but whatever...I just hope it never comes to the point that we even have to think about it.

EDIT: I cannot find any NCAA document that would verify what I reported, so I obviously misunderstood what Steve O said. Just to confirm that, will someone please ask him for clarification on the penalty for not maintaining an attendance level of 15,000 for football at one of the next tour stops and report what he says? Thanks.
