Perhaps that is why SMU has one of the worst hard core drug problems of any school in America. But I did not "hate" my time there. It was a great four years and its helped me get the job I have today in Dallas. But feel free to flame away dude.

Do I really need to go back and pull the post where you ravaged the school and how bad it is? You cried and moaned and talked about your poor miserable self. But we have missed you while you have been pining away in your misery with your kidney stone pain waiting for the opportunity to ridicule the school and its alumni some more. You too shall pass.

Hey man, I'm not gonna "hide" behind what I say unlike some posters here. There is a very high volume of [deleted] at SMU. Extremely high. Coming from rural East Texas ( and before you start running down East Texas, just remember where alot of our recruits/coaches come from) I was unaware of this. I went through about a year and a half where I was pretty upset about my situation there. But looking back and putting the whole thing in perspective, it was a good experience. It proved to me money and privilege do not equal class or success. Alot of good kids come out of SMU that hopefully offset your spoiled rotten snot nosed brats. I know my employer was glad to see my SMU degree so its opened alot of doors for me. But relax man. I didn't call your mom a Nazi or anything. There's good and bad things about SMU, just like anywhere else.

It's good to see the athletic department take steps in the right direction. My four years at SMU were among the worst four years for football/basketball in the school's history. So yeah, I was plenty pissed about that at the time. But hey, I've come to grips with it, manned up, and in the end all is well.

Clearly that puts rural East Texas in the highest esteem. Are those the same recruits and coaches who have produced exactly one winning football season over the last twenty years?

I'll take a truckload of Justin Rogers types. Tony Hawkins isn't doing too bad for himself either.

When Bennett got here we had 7 guys over 270.

Top ten hell we were BOTTOM 10.

We have gotten better and Bennett has too.
Ranking is not everything but better is better.

I remember when 90? was better, then 80? was better and 70? was better now #64 and that's better.

We want better till there is nothing between #1 and your skin.

We all have to agree the players are bigger, faster and are staying around to finish.

Help pull the wagon and continue to get BETTER.

The dreaded spelling smack. There are A-holes everywhere you go, get used to it. Stallion is at least consistent. You are always free to just skip over his posts and move on.

While I still have my doubts as to Bennett being the guy that can get SMU to the next level (and by next level I mean consistent bowl games, ranked in the Top 25, similar to the level of success TCU enjoys), I agree with BUS. We are putting a better product out on the field.

No its easier to just make fun of East Texas dude. I can't even count how many times some [deleted] would call me a hick or ask me if I had running water back home.

I wonder if he'd like to break out the W-2's now?????

Now, your learned that comment at SMU, careful now. Some trust funds issue 1099's.

Dude, I understand. I warked at Taco Bell on Mockingbird to pay my Fraternity Dues. If you do not think I got the business, you know I did.

That is a small crownd at SMU. The people I met and the friends that I still have are from SMU and thats been 25 years.

You can find BUTTS anywhere. Take a deep breath and let it go.

Was that one or two Burrito Supremes with extra sour cream?

I love East Texas. I used to travel the piney woods a week at a time when I worked out of Austin. You need to drop the inferiority complex about it Kurt. There is nothing wrong with it. Some of us grew up and still live in Arkansas. In case you do not know, that is a small rural area just northeast of East Texas.

Grider,

Recalibrate your sarcasm meter dude. It was all in jest. An inferiority complex? Not so much. Maybe I'm coming off the wrong way but I'm East Texas through and through. And you are right. There is [deleted] everywhere. Plus Dallas tends to lend itself to a particular brand of [deleted], but there are also good people everywhere. Like I said, there was a rough patch for about a year and a half there that probably clouded my judgment about SMU as a whole. Its a good school with alot of great connections for its alumni. However, (and I will never forgive SMU for this) what's the deal with no protected turn on Bishop from Mockingbird?

clearly small time. Everyone knows that you need to keep the W2 as low as possible (while still passable); the rest is all earnings distributions. Oh, and tell everyone they'll have to wait until the K-1s are ready (June or July sometime) before you can really give them an answer
