The drive from Memphis International to Jonesboro is closer to an hour and a half then it is to an hour...I'd fly into LR and save the $$$, buy your booze pre Jonesboro as it is in a dry county...fun.

Early speculation is that on September 15th we will be playing the Arkansas State Red Wolves.

This just in: Wolfman Jack, Nero Wolfe and Lon Chaney are offended and have filed complaints with the NCAA.

Regardless of color, are there wolves in Arkansas?

If you fly to Little Rock, the only real night life is Downtown at the Rivermarket. It's kinda like the West End. The Doubletree and Peabody are stumbling distance. Little Rock to Jonesboro is a 2-to-2 1/2 hour drive.

If you want to shorten your gameday drive, you might consider one of the towns up US 67/167. Jacksonville, Cabot, Beebe and Searcy all have Days Inn style motor lodges. Nothing fancy but it'll do the trick. Be advised the most everything closes at 8:30.

We are staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Little Rock, it's very close to the airport.

There used to be a nice little club and bar there called Bobby Socks. Fifties theme. I am pretty sure I heard that it closed however. Do not know what they have now.

SMU will be staying in Memphis on Friday night, from what I have been told. The Holiday Inn Express by the LR International Airport, blows...fly to LR on SWA to save $$$, drive 2 hours to Memphis, stay downtown, party...drive the 1 1/2 hours to Jonesboro on game day...much better time, I heard the Mustang Club might be planning a gathering of some type on Friday night in Mempho?? Long Live Ken Fleming.
