Now that you mention it, if the 1982 Bobby Leach runback against Tech doesn't make it, then you can honestly claim there is a vendetta against SMU football and not that we just don't warrant the time of day. Undefeated, BCS conference, last second TD runback...there's no way it wouldn't be...but hey I'm sure you've all experienced that before.

"Maisel's moments won't please fans at Baylor, SMU

On ESPN.com, Ivan Maisel gives his 100 plays and moments that define college football, with only 81-100 available so the series can last a while. Well, Baylor and SMU fans have probably seen enough. No. 85 is the embarrassing 24-21 Baylor defeat to UNLV, in which coach Kevin Steele didn't take a knee, UNLV took the ball, and Baylor took a lesson and a loss. And No. 81 is BYU's 46-45 win over SMU in the 1980 Holiday Bowl."

coming in at #43 was SMU but in a good winning away over TCU

The game was bigger than Texas: No. 1 SMU against neighboring No. 2 TCU and Slingin' Sammy Baugh. With the Horned Frogs leading late, 14-13, the Mustangs have fourth-and-four at the TCU 37. Out of punt formation, Bob Finley throws a 37-yard touchdown to Bobby Wilson. SMU wins, 20-14, and goes to the Rose Bowl. In the stands, to the benefit of us all, six-year-old Frog fan Dan Jenkins falls in love with college football.
