Their law school was defeated. Let's become UNT-SMU-Dallas

No kidding, or that alone would have me jettison Bennett for the monkey they were talking about in another thread. The Shunned Belt (to take a page from jstang...sorry for the plagarism) is one place to get beat by a high school coach. But if Bennett loses it here in CUSA (where NTSU wishes it was), that will settle it. He can forget as much football as he wants, he would have still been beaten in the second or third game for a high school coach. In that case, hell, let the monkey have a go at it. Couldn't do any worse.

I think it's funny that they are tacitly admitting they cannot better their conference affiliations on their own. I think the idea that SMU is holding them down is pathetic, but many of them do. And to date, no NTSU fan has ever answered my question as to why they need SMU's help rather than making it on their own.
But back to your original point. Indeed it is BECAUSE they beat us last year and stand a good chance to do the same this year that I am forced to resort to using this to bash back at them.
Yes we have been more successful than you of late, and I thank you for admitting it. (I'll haunt you with that one Jtstang )

Good...I was hoping that I'm not the only one with the thought lurking in the back of my mind that NTSU could come in and hang a 65-12 thumping on us. In fact, if by some miracle SMU were to beat Tech, I would fully expect a big loss to NTSU in true Mustang fashion.
Oh yeah, the disclaimer. I do hope that I'm wrong on both counts.

Our 6-6 record last year might as well be 10-2 compared to the horrendous year UNT had in the worst conference in college football.

No, you won't. I know the truth and can accept it.
And another truth is that NTSU cannot get itself out of the ShunnedBelt without the help of little ole SMU. Can you accept that truth?

SMU is to UNT what TCU is to SMU.

hopefully you are speaking only of football - we own TCU academically - and dont even start on NTSU - that place is an academic joke.
We will set the football world right with UNT next year. Unfortunately TCU will do the same with us.

actually, adding UNT to the schedule every year along with TCU would make for some local games that people might actually get interested in. In today's world, I would expect UNT to be much more competitive than they have been over the history of this series. Last year's win for them was what...their 4th in 31 attempts?
