those schools listed above certainly aren't bastions of academic excellence, but i'd take them over mtsu, ark st, et. al. the point is that the conference, as a whole, is pretty well balanced.

On the contrary, I don't believe SMU is some big bad evil machine that is out to destroy UNT, and I don't credit them with keeping UNT out of any conference. I recognize SMU for what it is... a college football has-been and afterthought whose fans are obsessed by the bigger state school up north. Obviously I've stumbled on to something considering there are more posts regarding UNT football on this board than any other school on your schedule. Including your so-called arch rival TCU, or any of your conference mates.

That's because most of them are started by the trolls of the college football never-will-be kindergarten/daycare up north. So of course there are going to be lots of threads geared toward you when YOU create them.
