Look, I know where you are coming from, and believe me, I wish I could parlay signs of success into success as you have. But those things do not equal success for most of the frustrated fans on this board. I'm sorry, I really am, but these signs don't make it for most of us.
I respectfully disagree. A sign of success is not being picked to win a conference, but winning it. Not being a candidate for an award, being an award winner. Not breaking even, breaking through and having a winning record. Beating NTSU and Rice last year like we should have would have been a sign of a return to possible success for this program. What we had would have been diappointing had I had any expectations. But to the extent you think we are on the verge of success, I hope you are right.
Maybe you mean training camp? I met someone who was at the team's only mini-camp in the spring, and he said Bartel took exactly zero snaps in team drills (threw in one-on-one stuff, but that was it).
