Not going to lie, one of the best days at work ever, I am sitting there and I get a courier of a dvd with old Doak Walker games. An hour later, I get another one with Don M. games on it. Then an hour later game footage from the pony express days along with a high light reel of last years games.

Thad, a company called Big Fish Films shot it and the company I work for edited them. The actual blvd footage was just b-roll that SMU had in stock, not sure who shot it.

I thought about Peruna not being played too, but to be honest I like what we ended up using. Anyone who would miss our fight song in the commercial is probably already going to the games. That generic drumline gets you excited about College Football in general, Any Team USA.

Radio is great too, hopefully you will hear them soon.

I am almost curious to know what MRMustang1965 thinks about them, after all of his rainting calls and emails to various media outlits and people who work for SMU.

That's awesome, dude... talk about excitement with those DVDs.

The framing of the shots doesn't just scream "I was shot by Chris Mano", but I know he was out shooting B-Roll last year during at least one game - and I really haven't noticed any filming that was official other than that. (Yeah, I kind of have a hightened awareness about such things.)

I agree that the drums are "fine", but I too was hoping for the "M-U-S-T-A-N-G-S" ... all in all I'm a fan, but the J-Dub one is definitely preferable.

Boy we're heaping a lot of hopes on this kid.

And he's the real deal.

I was perusing the DMN online and I just saw a SMU banner ad for the Tech game.
