Agreed, a win is a win.

However, I heard they are already engraving Casey Fitzgerald's name on the Heisman Trophy. At least we made him look like a Heisman winner. Note: he had 5 total catches in his career previous to this game.

Again, the coaching staff can't seem to make adjustments. When a guy has 330 yards receiving, you might think that a some point in the previous 299 yards you might want to double team him, or try something to stop him.

Just me .02.

you know in the last 14 games-I bet 7 receivers have over 130 yards in receptions. At least the DBs made some plays in the 4th Q. Raised a F to a D-.

i was waiting for you to touch on that... for the first 3 quarters i could have gone out there and played better, they definitely stepped it up in the 4th... I really hope they can learn on the fly this year but i doubt it.

Hudman is really good, and I think he will be better then Joe in the long run... there were just too many holes in the secondary... the last two weeks center field has been wide open on almost every deep pass (im sure dodge saw this during the tech game). But we do have playmakers back there, they just need some snaps...

Just out of curiosity Stallion, are you giving that grade for the last 14 games or this game? When you give up 330+ yards to one guy, how do you give them anything other than a failing grade?

Granted, they did make some big plays and had some turnovers (including the touchdown) in the 4th, but I still have to give them an F.

3 Int. and TD in one quater ain't bad. Throw 'em a bone. Tough crowd when I get bitched at for giving a D-.

no D- is about right... 3 quarters of sub par defense... we gave up big plays, we gave up short plays... its one thing if you are going to play off the line to protect the deep pass, but when you play off the line and you get beat deep all game there is a problem... our db's have skills (fire coach gush, he sucks) let them run man, they are fast, but don't pull a kerry and flip-flop all game on what kind of mentality you want your db's to have.

DB's F (excluding Hudman), but they stepped up when it counted (kind of the theme of the night); therefore, the get a D from me... lots of turnovers, way too many yards (1 guy over 300, are you kidding me?!).

Don't take my comment as [deleted], just a different grading system. Like I said, they did play good in the 4th. Besides, the difference between an F and a D- isn't much.

Put these DB's in a position to have success and they will do well.

Coach them to give BIG CUSHION and we are TOAST.

i ran into fitz walking into the stadium... he was wearing a bright green shirt... i asked him what the he11 he was doing and he said his little brother played for them  ... played for them or was the best player on their team?

weak. root for your brother but dont wear there colors at the stadium of the school you played for. sorry, thats sad.
he was screwed by the SMU coaching staff... they moved him to every position on the field... never gave him a chance to develop as a player... and he was by far one of the most athletic players we've had in a long time. I don't think it's sad at all.. i think how SMU treated him was sad. and on that note I know why his brother didn't come to SMU

you are absolutley 100 percent correct in this post. fitz got f*cked by the SMU staff. also, i think its an indicator on our coaching staff's ability to develope talent.

Notg exactly. Casey had five catches PRIOR to this season. He caught 7 for 126 yards and a TD vs the Sooners last week. With the 18 vs SMU, he has 25 receptions in 2 games for '07. Ranks #1 in receiving yards per game and #3 in receptions per game.

Did Serge get any playing time? If so, is he going to be able to help our D-line?
