Right on. Boise State had that one turd who came on the site badmouthing everyone, but the rest of the BSU fans even felt compelled to come on and apologize for him, saying he does that to everyone.

The Arkansas State fans have been a class act all the way. Here's to a great game (won by the Ponies, of course).

Arkpony, mrydel and ponyte are planning on getting there around 3 or so. We are going to try and park in a paved lot.

There is the original Whole Hog on Cantrel Rd. about 5-7 minutes west of the River Market also.

Whole Hog is know for winning Memphis in May!

In the River Market. Like I said, I'm partial to the Flying Fish, make it snappy (spicy).

Depending on which hotel they stay in the best eating options are all in walking distance or a cheap trolley ride.

I like Sticky Fingerz good burgers and sammies (I suggest the burger that has the buffalo wing sauce, nose running spicy but good).

Lots of folks like Boscos, their micro brew beer is nothing outstanding in my opinion and a tad pricey but I'm cheap. Vinos up on seventh and Chester or seventh and Izard brews much better beer and has pretty good pizza.

The Underground Pub makes a great blue cheese burger, (goes great with a black and tan) and if the weather is good tough to beat the patio with the view of the river. Don't think they stock Fullers ESB any more so I'm still a little miffed because last two trips there they didn't have it.

Rumba Revolution has Cuban Fusion or some-such. Food is pretty good but I think its called Cuban fusion because you'd get yer tail kicked if your tried to serve it in Miami. I've only been once and my disappointment that it wasn't legit Cuban food clouded my assessment.

Hey Arkstfan......

Do they allow you to bring cow bells, flags, ect.... into the stadium?

Also can you leave the stadium at halftime and then return?

Flags and umbrellas are OK. Noisemakers supposedly banned.

Unless its changed this year, just hold on to your stub for re-entry.

Looks like the seats don't go down very low to the field:

Arkansas State fans are very cool! Been a pleasure to have them on the board.

Only other fans I can think of are the Cougar High boys from Houston. Those guys were pretty funny and really played along with the gags. Looking forward to that week on the boards.

This link might be helpful.
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&g ... &z=15&om=1

It's a hybrid map of the stadium area. The photo is from 2006 when they were doing the prep work to lay the new turf so the field looks awful.

Most the hardcore tailgaters will be in the area bordered by Aggie, Olympic, U, and Stadium.

Mostly group and commercial tailgates in the area west of the stadium and paved lot.
