If you're right (and assuming Kincade and Fitzgerald again mount a decent rushing attack) then Bartel will be WAC Player of the Year and SMU will have the highest-scoring offense in the league, and might win the conference.

Drove by the track the other day and the team was running. Especially like the prospect of the entired-line rotation having a break out year. To include Adami, melvin,stansbury, Karrington and J. Rogers.

A lot of us were in shock when we found out that he would not be playing next season. But hopefully he'll get his grades under control with this time away and be able to come back and help us out. Because having a triple threat with Comet, D Fran, and Rushbrook just sounds nasty!

so Francis is off the team for grades? You're right, dirty30, a trio of Comet, Francis and Rushbrook would have been a killer bunch. But while Comet wraps up his glorious career this season, I have every confidence that Trey Griffin, Cedric Vinson, Jay Taylor and the rest (freshmen?) can do the job. Richard Bartel will make all the receivers better.

So Francis is still in school? Just working on grades and sitting out the season, like Viloria did a few years back? That's great news and bodes well for the future of the team. We can just chalk 2003 up as a redshirt year.

Can Francis lift in the weightroom while he's working on his grades?
