At 1-4, it is DUMB to bet on SMU to beat anybody. Last year the Rice game seemed like a gimme too. Have some more koolaid, susnshine.

HAHA...the game AT rice was certainly not a gimme. it was a guaranteed loss with bowl implications on the line and with the coaching we have, we didnt stand a chance winning that game. at this point in time i haven't digested kool-aid since before the tech game

actually I think their top 3 QBs are hurt but they are playing the second stringer which they hoped to avoid.

True, but that doesn't explain their OL, 3 turnovers, and getting steamrolled by Rice's offense.

Since I've got people at USM, the debacle at the Rock is not only unexpected, but it is not pleasing in certain circles. I don't think Rice can ever do this again. I do worry about the rebound effect next week when USM tries to prove themselves against us.

Rice's scoring drives are of 10, 12, 26 and 69 yards, only one of those sounds like the Rice offense had to do much to get the ball in the end zone. Two of those turnovers are interceptions from the injured QB.

The 69 yard drive was 2 plays capped with a 54 yard run untouched. Good plays but not much work.

What is the injury the QB has because he's thrown some junior high passes. Just threw another with Rice in scoring position.
