Barnett got screwed

Post by awatson23 »

I live in Denver and was a witness to the crap that went on in Boulder. I will tell you this, Barnett got SCREWED!!

None of the crap that was reported in the media was ever proven. Not a single player was ever charged with a crime and CU - after a long, drawn out investigation, even admitted that he did not do anything that was claimed.

Face it, the man can win football games. He has done it before and can do it again. Hands down my first choice.

I don't think Barnett would be a good fit here. Seems like trouble has followed him everywhere he's gone.

I'd be interested to see what Terry Bowden or Houston Nutt could do here at SMU. Bowden might have some cobwebs to shake off and as long as Nutt could hold off on recruiting kids with crazy parents, he would be alright.

Would Brent Venables or Gus Malzahn (the OC from Tulsa) come if given the chance?

My personal choice would be Nutt, then Venables, then Malzahn. I like Bowden but I don't know if he's still got what it takes to succeed in Division I football.

By the way, the name is Chuck and I'm glad to be aboard.
