I have no idea what it means. I keep saying it "Yah Mo Be there" and still have no idea what it means. I think it is referring to Mo Vaughn speaking in third person about going to the SMU game.
Even "Wassup" is better than that. Or the Miller High Life guy repossessing beer. We could have him show up at the Boulevard and start taking people's beer, saying, "Can't field a winning team in 20 years! You don't deserve the high life." Now that might have an impact.

Or Maurice Clarett. Doesn't he have some eligibility left after he gets out of the slammer?
Seriously, someone explain this.
"Life is tough, but it's tougher when you're stupid." John Wayne
"Context clues and common sense can take you a long way in life." Anthony Cann
Ya Mo B There sounds like "I'm going to be there"..."SMU, I'm going to be there"...I thought it would sound funny in that thick texan voice used for our current Pony ^ campaign...and guys, this was totally tongue in cheek...I'm really not suggesting that a Michael McDonald song title be used for an SMU campaign...it was meant to stimulate interest/anger and see if there were any funny/impressive new advertising slogans that we could come up with. Eh...I tried. I'll press my tongue harder next time.
Mr. McDonald fans allude that Ya Mo B There means "Yahweh is going to be there" but if you ask me/others, it sounds like "Yeah I'll be there" and that's generally how it's used. Ya Mo B There was a catch phrase on ESPN sunday night.
