The locker room at Ford is very nice, at least it was when the stadium opened and I assume it has been kept up well. I cannot imagine that the Cotton Bowl's locker rooms are anything close but I don't recall ever going in there.

When my team played in the Cotton Bowl the locker rooms were concrete, smelly, dank, dugeon-like rooms. And the Cowboys still played there.

I'm actually involved in the renovation at the Cotton Bowl and went in to the existing lockerrooms. I'm sure they don't compare to Ford, but they aren't bad by any means.

When SMU played there the Cotton Bowl certainly looked emptier than Ford does. Has the neighborhood improved around the Cotton Bowl. Last time I was there, the crack dealers were selling on the streets outside of the Fair Grounds. And the seats have zero leg room. On the other side of the coin, you could go outside and buy a beer if things were going badly.

I don't know anything about the locker rooms or weight rooms...but I can tell you from visiting other places we are very lucky to have such a nice stadium on campus. Southern Miss, Arkansas State, Rice, TCU, Tulsa, UNT---all dumps, in my opinion, compared to Ford.

Give scholarships to the girlfriends of all 4 stars and above football recruits. Then the boys will follow. Worked on CJ.

I wouldn't go down there after dark for $100. But we're talking about the perspective of the football recruit. Beer sales, seat comfort, etc. is irrelevant.

What does a recruit look for in facilities?

1) Houston
2) UCF
3) Houston

And by 2009 Houston will have all 3.

Tradition? Please...Is this what you call tradition?
already on probation—SMU paid 21 players a total of $61,000, the NCAA invoked unprecedented penalties aimed to "eliminate a program that was built on a legacy of wrongdoing, deceit and rule violations." The NCAA canceled the '87 season. SMU voluntarily voided '88.

How bout...Yoemans Veer, Jenkins Run & Shoot, and the yet to be named Briles offense that will run roughshod over your boys come Sunday....

But hey...good luck with the delusion...maybe it'll be better for you than it was for us after Jugular was sent packing.

In regards to the Cotton Bowl Vs. Ford Stadium... my 2 cents . . . I played in both and the Cotton Bowl, prior to 2000 . . . was CRAP!!!! the locker room could not fit the whole team, we had to share lockers as freshmen, the place stunk, the field was decent enough but Ford is better there as well, sure it was huge, but I remember playing Arkansas and the stands looking full and yet it was like an away game!
The facilities (field, locker rooms, weight room, training room(top notch), etc.) at Ford are all 1st class. Every other locker room we went into on the road, which as visitors you always got the crappy locker room, paled in comparision. Our visitor locker room is nicer than any visitor locker room I ever ventured into...
Sports, and all that implies.
