Not so fast . . . by measures of recent success - Houston would have been the best pick. They could have had the Houston Market and a team that was churning out NFL talent (and even a heisman winner) in the late 80s, early 90s. If Ann Richards had been a UH grad - I am willing to be that the Courgars would be in the Big 12, or that the Big 12 would not have been allowed to exist . . .
