Rhodes was in for a few plays and made a nifty pitch after Willis pitched the ball to him. Rhodes is supponsed to have a lot of potential. Maybe he should be given a chance to show us what he can do?

Willis again lost his composure on the last offensive play. Threw his helmet down with two hands. The official reaches out to see if he is hurt and Willis basically rips his hands away almost hitting the official. He's damn lucky he didn't get a penalty on that play. Is it difference between winning and losing-No. Could it be-Yes. Back to Anger Management Class. He needs to lead. Showed some improvement in tucking the ball away and hittin' the turf-ZERO fumbles. Apparently Devin Lowery caught the flu by fumbling the ball on an easy TD while holding the ball with one hand. Difference in the Game? No Could it be?

That was McCann who fumbled the ball

I was shocked that there was no penalty on that. I understand Willis's frustration, but you are exactly right. Zero fumbles, but he's still carrying that ball too loosely when he runs. Scared me to death.

And you don't feel some of this is attributable to coaching? I am starting to believe the players just havent believed in Bennett like any of us have been lead to believe. This kid needs to be benched.

Truth is the new Coach will expect Willis to tuck the ball when running or about to get hit in the pocket. If he starts loosing it like throwing his helmet etc. he will have to sit out a series as an example. I'm sure the new Coach will not put up with it. He will have to get control and manage this team, something the present coaches obviously do not do very well......Also, I think the new Coach should try to recruit a good JUCO QB this year who can come in and give Justin some competition. Competition cures alot of problems on a team. Willis does not have any yet....That said, I still think Willis could be a real winner here and we could win Championships with him at QB if we get the right Coach.

Yeah...and he also had a lot to do with two of the touchdowns Rice scored.
Thats the dumbest reasoning ive ever heard 94....hes the F'n QB, hes suppose do something every game with the points we score...JUST DONT LOSE F'N GAMES every week. He gave US points and he gave RICE points...flat out lost the game for us in my opinion
Yeah...that was my point too! He has contributed to many points going the other way....

You guys are such whinney cry babies! How about returning to the Josh McCown/Chris Phillips days where the qb didn't contribute on many offensive touchdowns and gave the ball to our opponent even more often.
I agree Justin has regressed in terms of protecting the ball this year. He proved last season that he is capable of making wise decisions and protecting the ball. Once again better coaching should help correct the leaks in his game.

Without a doubt JW is the best player on the team! For one, I think we need to work to his strengths....of which, I do not belive passing is one of them. I think he must much more suited for an offense of less than 20 passes a game. I think he could be a star in the right offense!

I played golf in high school. We were in contention for the district title my senior year. The #4 man goes on to triple bogey the last hole, and we lose by one shot. I blamed him for our loss.
In hindsight, if I had made a putt on X hole, or someone else, we win.
My point: this is a team game. If McCann doesn't fumble that ball on his way to the endzone, if Demyron runs for another 100 in the second half, blah blah blah......

Willis will not be the QB next year, Turner is better right now. Benett rolled the dice and hoped Justin would continue to improve despite all his baggage but it didn't work and it cost him his job. I will say it would have been hard to go with a true freshman with your job on the line. When spring comes around look for a new man behind center.
