I saw Lloyd Carr drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's...his hair was perfect.

If one just accepted the Baylor job, wouldn't one expect they would be drinking your tail off?

Sunshine Pony has now clearly hinted it will be Kragthorpe;

Dwan appears to be suggesting it will be Butch Davis, since he is supposedly who was lined up by Orsini last year;

Thad is also indicating Davis based on the whole "it would have been perfect" thing vis-a-vis Dwan;

Biggin has suggested the job is Nutt's if he wants it.

Anybody else want to go out on a limb? This is for posters who "know", only, please.

I said I heard that the job had been offered to Nutt through his agent and he is supposedly mulling it. Last I heard on it.

"Mulling it Over" is a song by Blues Traveler and John Popper knows more about the SMU coaching search than most people. At least Blues Traveler played the Rhythm Room.

Nutt is playing the media right now. He has not been offered the SMU job, nor will he be. It works better for Nutt and Sexton to publicly turn down nonexistent offers from colleges like SMU than to let the reality be known that even SMU isn't interested in him.

Dwan came on in with a thread, I think it was on Friday.... saying our new coach was chosen. Gave hints as to who it was.... and I knew who he was talking about.

So if Dwan is correct, and - looking back - I certainly haven't found him to be wrong, then yes I do know who the new coach is.
