Yeah, just ask him.
No, ask Kansas State, aTm and LSU. Read his bio you dumb [deleted]. He coached at SMU, but it is all his fault. Nobody has won here. When are you people gonna get it through your heads that we are barking up the wrong tree. Get someone in here that has some staying power and start the process of building a program. Give the HC full authority to bring in who he needs to win. The coaches being mentioned are win now coaches, that aint happening here. This is a 3-5 year project. I feel for the juniors and seniors the next two years. They will have to be resilent in their efforts to be a winning program and/or make it to a bowl game. We will have to have several players come up with great individual efforts the next two seasons.

Actually...Mike Cavan won at SMU...for one season, that is. Only winning record SMU has has since the death penalty. Guess that makes him better than "a good coach"?
Eventually, someone will get this thing turned around. It just wasn't meant to be for Bennett.

all im going to say is if you really think hes worse than PB, then i hope youre enjoying your crack and koolaid tonight
With the twenty years we have had here at SMU. There are lots of crack smokers on this board. We all need to have a drink and relax. These post are repeats from years past. Some of you are cutting an pasting crap from when the board started. We keep repeating ourselves. The same few of you that so easily condemned PB in the end, was all on his jock when he was hired. I am not that kind of fan. Take it to the source of the problem.

Didn't know Cavam, but if he won here it makes him a damn good coach. Should have been conference coach of the year.

Fact is, Cavan won with seniors that were Rossley's players that were recruited while we were still in the SWC. Cavan's players' talent level and his win-lose record went south after that. That is not sour grapes, just a fact.

I am sick of hearing this same argument about one coach winning with another coaches players. You coach the players you have regardless.

That's what I have heard as well.
Probably true, but Mack has the power to make the changes...

The bottom line is this:
Mack Brown, Jim Tressel and Bob Stoops, Steve Spurrier, Nick Saban each have won 1 national championship. I think it's fair to say that all of them are fine football coaches.

Texas won despite MB & Co - You can mark that up as "VY is a fine quarterback" if you'd like!!

Mack Brown is a fine coach. His era of success rivals what Darrell Royal did.
