Please, he's 2-3 against Texas and 0-5 against OU (including the worst loss in Aggy history) and he's lost all two bowl games he's managed (and got owned at that). He did himself a favor by stepping down. Now at least he won't get embarrassed by Byrne. And I don't feel like verifying my stats on account that I'm too pissed and drunk. so there. ![]() Official Cult of Chris Phillips Member
not saying i disagree with you ... just couldnt get it done...but that Miami game was a key factor too...
well, and he shows how much he cares for "his guys" by giving them all of an hour to revel in their victory before making it all about him.
Fran's got a lot of class; it's just all low. Go RED! Go BLUE! Go MUSTANGS! S-M-U!!
I Still think A&M is a coaching nightmare. They moan and [deleted] about tradition yet they are one of the most middle of the road programs in the history of college football. Coaches leave A&M to have greater success despite what the Aggies want. They have lost Dana Bible, Matty Bell, Bear Bryant, Gene Stallings, Jackie Sherrill, and RC Slocum. Here is what matty Bell had to say of leaving A&M:
"Any expert diamond cutter, laboriously, painstakingly, and with delicate craftsmanship, can trim the uneven stone which nature gave him, and polish the facets to gleaming brilliance, but I never heard of anyone doing it with a hunk of coal." They have to fight every year to make sure that Texas Tech or Oklahoma State don't kick them out of 3rd place in the Big 12 South. They are stuck behind Texas and Oklahoma every year. As long as Mack Brown and Bob Stoops are out recruiting A&M and Oklahoma every year, A&M is in a world oh hurt. Though this years class is ranked 11th nationally behind Texas. Class of '91
