This board can be very tiring. I lived thru 5 years of late 1960's SMU football and was constantly amazed at the crap some of my coharts dumped about firing Haden Fry.

Some of you do the same. You look for any small negative tidbit, relavant or not, and apply it as if it were the final word. What few FACTS we have indicate that we might have a new, top flight coach by next week.

I'm not about sugar coating everything. But taking every negative rumor and treating it as some undeniable truth is crazy. Maybe Johnson's relationships with Orsini are strong. Maybe he sees SMU's team as having a lot of potential. Maybe he just likes Dallas. Why can't we try to believe that this is possible?

Until we have some reasonable FACTS to assume that what we are hearing from Rivals, CBS Soprts and The Ticket is not reliable, why not treat the other garbage as the unsubstantiated rumors.

I choose to believe that we stand a pretty good chance of having the kind of coach that could end our frustrations.
Where oh where is Hayden Fry

I do believe we will have a good chance of landing a top flight coach but as I have been saying since day one...Paul Johnson will not be a Mustang!!
