Alabama signing a huge name coach is MUCH different than SMU. Obviously.

Alabama is one of the most historic programs in the history of college football.

SMU is not.

I think Marty would be a "wow" hire. The knock on him is that he can't win a playoff game. Good news! He won't have to in college football. What's the problem?

Great Point 1991. I bet anything though that the SMU announcement that we hired Marty will coincide with the NCAA announcement that the BSC system is no more.
