We're not the first school to lose a coaching candidate to another school. It happens every year. Why are some people being so [deleted] Orsini? He's working his butt off trying to get who he thinks is the best coach possible for SMU. From what I've been hearing he working 24/7 to do it.

Personally I do not want to be slapped by the new coach, so I am glad I am not a season ticket holder.

I read your blog and still don't understand or agree w/the premise. Orsini is aiming high and bless him for the effort. This was never going to be an easy sell, no matter how much money they throw a replacement. Residing in a horrible football conference is a deal breaker for most.

Orsini is busting his hump to get us on the map and he's doing a great job giving the program visibility. On message boards & blogs across the country, people have been discussing SMU and if they can make it back, now that they are serious. SMU is serious b/c of Orsini. He's single-handedly trying to change perception. He literally deserves an award for that.

He doesn't need to move quickly, and he doesn't need to let his moves be known in the media. He needs to be effective, and get a coach that can help jump on the momentum, limited as it may be, that Orsini has started
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones
