Agreed. He is a good coach. Maybe not the "best" head coach material (lots of guys are great assistants, bad head coaches--ie: Bennet, Bill Callahan) but Chan wasn't even a bad head coach. Maybe really good assistant, mediocre head coach would best describe Chan. That wouldn't be the worst we could do right now.
In my opinion, we would be seriously settling for Chan, but it would be a significant step up from Rossley, Cavan, Bennet.
